    Angry Create an on click event to open a form to enter and/or edit data

    I HAVE AN ON CLICK EVENT USING EVENT PROCEDURE TO OPEN A SPECIFIC FORM TO ENTER DATA "DoCmd.OpenForm "FORMNAME", , , "[PKID]=" & Me![PKID], , , Me![PKID]" BUT THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I CLICK TO CREATE A NEW RECORD; WHICH MEANS IT DOESN'T HAVE [PKID] ASSIGNED YET IT RETURNS AN ERROR MESSAGE..... AND IM USING ACCESS 2010... PLEASE HELP!!!!

    What you have asked for is to open the Form and show a certain record.
    That is what you got. There is no next Record to show.
    If you want something else you will need some code to open the form in Edit Mode.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
