Query not working with Directly pasted Tables

Hi All,



Hope you can help. My query works fine with data entered through forms. However for data that was directly entered into a table which will be queried. Nothing shows up.

Example


Pasted directly to table

Color Item
Blue Kite
Red Bear
White Cloud
Black Marble

Entered through form
Color Item
Black Wheels
Blue Car
Blue Raincoat


If I run a query on this table on only blue items...

only car and raincoat will show up. If the query was working 100% properly.. kite, car, and raincoat shouuld show up.

What's the SQL of the query? Are you sure there isn't a space or something hidden in the failing items?

The SQL is a wild card.

like forms![Items].[color] & "*"

posted in criteria.
