Angry Is there an easier way to export data ---too many clicks in 2010

I have been using Access 2000 for years at work. I recently had to re-install the OS so I decided to upgrade to 2010....not a pleasant experience so far.

I use access to store data and then export using a query to excel and then use a macro on it to format it all pretty to send to our clients.

In 2000 I modified the toolbar so I could hit CTRL-p to bring up the export dialog type in the name of the file and then the ID. For example: CTRL-p, 12BF001 (ENTER), 12BF001 (ENTER). REPEAT. I could generate 50 files in no time.

In 2010, unless I am missing something, this is a much more arduous task.

Rt click the query, select export to excel, hit backspace 25 times to remove default file name (query name), enter new file name, enter it again, then hit close.

    Is there an easier way?

Yes, Create a macro then click on the macro. I have an access 2010 Database that runs 5 Queries and exports each to Excel. I click on 1 button and it's done.

Is it possible to record macros in Access or do I have to program it in from scratch?

Never tried to record one. I Use VBA better than 80% of the time as it gives me more control over what I want done. The rest of the time I just create the macro using the macro editor in MS Access.
