    Getting help in person

    Hi,

Where do you go to find a consultant who can come to your business and help you build or complete a database? I've been to classes, but they won't help you build your own database and I cannot find anyone that has more experience in building a DB from the ground up. I would like to know if there is somewhere that lists Access Database consultants in each state who you could hire to help you?

I'm not sure it wouldn't be easier to have someone build it for us, but I can't find anyone in the state of Maine that does that.

    Please help.

Advertise. Search yellow pages for firms that deal with software development. Find an IT college student (we did), sometimes they need a project for workstudy credit. Could check with state government procurement office and see if they have a list of contractors for software and IT services. Might find a user group in your area. Closest I get from quick search is Connecticut http://ctaug.org/

Craigslist could be another route. I found this:

I'd volunteer, but the 3000 mile commute might get old.
