    Record not showing in form

I am a beginner user of Microsoft Access 2007. I have been working to create a HR database for storing candidate information. I have one form with 5 tabs. The problem I am experiencing is that when I load the form it allows me to add data and the related table gets updated. It also allows me to move through records which I have added in that session but when I close the form and return it does not show this data. The reason why I want this data to show up is because I was creating a switchboard to allow the user to view/edit data. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

It sounds like the data entry property of the form is yes.

What is the code to open the form? Data entry can be specified there too.

I created the form using form design. Than to add fields to the form I dragged them from existing tables (which I created before). As per your suggestion I have been trying to find the code and am not sure where to. I checked the properties for forms in event tables. I checked event procedures for form load and form open but that is empty??? Any suggestions ?

From the navigation panel and recently I created a switchboard button to add records and linked that button to the form.

Check the code/macro behind that button. If its an actual switchboard, the settings are in the switchboard table. If you can't find it, can you post the db here?

I don't use Switchboards, but following yours through you've specified a command of 2 for that button. According to the embedded macro, 2 opens the form in Add mode.
