Question Set default export file type for queries

    Hi everyone,

I am running a query a few dozen times with slight edits and exporting it each time. Every time I open the export dialog it defaults to access mdb. I would like it to default to Excel 97 - 2003 (*.xls) so that I don't have to find it from the drop-down menu every time. It only takes a couple of seconds, but it's frustrating to do it over and over.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks.

Have you tried saving an export definition and then running that saved definition? Otherwise, code is only other way I know to control the destination and it would not use the Export wizard.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
