    Sales Stages

Hi, I'm fairly new to MS Access and I'm trying to create a database for a bike rental company.

I have already create number of tables that are necessary along with the appropriate relationships.

However, my issue relates to the fact that a 'Sale' has many stages, e.g. enquiry, contacted, paid for etc... I have created a table with these values and they can be selected when inputting a new 'Sale' which is fine.

The problem is I want to be able to somehow restrict the users to the next stage they choose, or at least group the more likely next stages together. There are only 5 users of the system and they are trusted so I do not want to stop them choosing other stages however making it so that the user is encouraged to choose a normal next stage is what I'm having problems with.

Sorry if that was unclear at all, I'd really appreciate any help at all on this!

Sure I've attached the tables and relationships.

You'll see it's very simple at this stage, I just didn't know if I'd need another table perhaps with a list of current stages along with the recommended next stage and how I'd then transfer that to the user.

I just noticed this post again. Can you describe the various processes in terms of Bikes and Sales? Basically a description of the "daily business" of your operation.

I am confused with Date Borrowed, Borrow Duration, Price.
