    access error 3050 could not lock file


    i am the admin. i have moved database to a server. when the users try to login they keep getting an error "3050 could not lock file",....I have tried looking everywhere for a solution. can anyone please help.

    we tried the registry one. still get the error. Database and workgroup file were on my computer. we have moved them both to the server. i can login and am th admin. the users can get login page but then when they click ok on login page the keep getting could not lock file error 3050.....

    Do the users have Read, Write AND Delete rights to the folders where the database and workgroup file are? Also, did you give the users an updated shortcut to open the database which had the new path to the workgroup there as well?

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
