Using Access Remotely - Do I need SharePoint?

I have an Access 2007 database at work that I would like to be able to work on at home using the same back-end. Is SharePoint my only option? Are there any other choices? I would appreciate any recommendations!

You could use logmein.com to sign on to your work computer from home.

With Access 2010 you could move your back-end to SQL Azure "in the cloud" and then connect your front-end to it from any internet connected computer.
