    copy data from one table to another

    I have two tables. table 1 project list and table 2 archive list, both tables have same fields.



    table 1 have a field status having two options running or archive.

    i am looking an option when i change the status option from running to archive the current data should be copied to table 2 ie archive list.

    hope some can help me.

    Generally speaking it isn't a good idea to move data around like that. I'd have a single table with a status field. That let's you query active, running or both easily. If you really want to, you'd execute an append query and then a delete query to move the data.
