Import multiple files from one location to new tables

Hi there can anyone help me out with a VBA code for the following:
I have a directory with 300+ .xls files in it - all of different file names, and I want to import all of these files into the same Access database but each into a new table as each is formatted differently.
The table name in Access should be the same as the .xls file name
I am using Access 2010 and have tried various loops and nothing seems to be working.

    Please help! Alex
