Exclamation Trying to Reduce Database Size

    Hello,

I have a database that is over 2gb. I am try to reduce the size by deleting some old forms, reports and tables but the size is holding steady at 2gb. What am I doing wrong?

Also, would moving a large table to another database and then linking it to my existing database reduce the size?

    Thanks,
    Marc

Have you tried the Compact & Repair feature?
I would make a copy of the Database first - just in case - and then perform the Compact & Repair either on the copy or the original.
I have found that doing that dramatically reduces the size of my Databases.

Let me know if that works for you.

Of course - if the bulk of your database size is because of a lot of data in large tables - you might just have to live with the size.
