    Relationship issue

Hi Guys, full disclosure, this is an assignment for college. However I'm stuck on the final piece of the puzzle. I have a built a database built around a recruitment process. i.e. Applicant details, Job Details, and interview Details. However it is important that an applicant can apply for many jobs and can receive many offers but he/she can only accept one job. I'm struggling to incorporate this into my database. Is there a way of using validation in a field that does not allow the same USER id to select "Yes" if the user selected yes already to accept another job offer?.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

On the applicant table, put a checkbox or text field showing whether the applicant has accepted a job or not. Then in your select queries you can selct only those who have not accepted a job.

My issue is however there is nothing stopping an applicant from accepting 2 job offers. I tried the checkbox but It allowed me to check multiple job offers??

The checkbox is on the Applicant table, so how can there be more than one per applicant?
