    Hiding Navigation Pane kills macro

My title says it all. I want to have a nice looking user interface so I followed the advice found on the internet and hid it and deselected it in Access options - and it looks fine........ however when I call a macro from a certain form I get Error 2046 (the command or action is not available now)!
Would someone please volunteer how to hide that navigation pane for appearance and security reasons but still have the macros work??
    Thanx.

How do you know the two are related? Does the error message tell you it is because you have hidden the navigation pane? It may be because of some other reason.

On my initial user login form if I set this to false (DoCmd.SelectObject acTable, , True) then a macro in another form later throws the 2046 error. If I comment that exact statement out in the user login form then the macro works.

Can you not hide the navigation pane using just the Options? I'm not sure what that line of code is doing exactly or why you need it.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
