Question synchronize thumbdrive to front end database

I have about 10 users that will be using the database. However they will be in locations taht they will not be able to utilize the network. They will be able to get onto the network and synchronize thier thumb drives. How will this work if the data is stored on SQL server?

The database will be for progressing projects, maintaing timecards, schedule element, equipment lists, etc. They will need access to the information, however when they are in the field they will not have access to the SQL server. I would like them to update remotely and synch data once daily.

    Any suggestions?

You might create an append query to add whatever data they have into the SQL tables?

Yes but how do they maintain access to the information when not linked to the sql server? If I werent using the server i could split the database and synchronize. But I fear that the database will quickly become overtaxed without a sql back end. is there a way to maybe synchronize the sql database aswell?

SharePoint maybe an option. Scroll to the middle of this page. "Lets Link To The SharePoint List/Table"
