Can you connect Google Earth to a database using Microsoft SQL?

    Hi everybody!

I am creating a GIS database and am wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to connect google earth to my database using Microsoft SQL?

If not, does anybody know how it can be connected or if it is at all possible?

    Thanks a lot!

I very much doubt it. At least not a connection as in linking to Excel. Can export data to xml file.

If you look at that link, it shows an example using Access via VBA.

Since you can use Access via VBA to create the .kml file... you could easily set up an ODBC database connection to your SQL Server and connect to the SQL Server via an Access "linked table" on the External Data tab.

    It would work fine.

    Good luck!
