Best way of displaying and printing records?

I'm displaying records from a database of people using multiple list boxes and not subforms since I want total control over the layout. Maybe this is a bad idea? I also don't know how to print records. Is it necessary to work with forms for that?

Usually people use reports for printing purposes, not forms.
