Design view 'freezes' in Access 2010

I've been having a problem with Access v14.0.6023.1000 (32-bit) running on Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have Access linked to a .csv then I run queries in access. When I click on the design view in Access, it 'freezes' (goes into an infinite processing loop) and I can repeatedly click on the sql view button & it will eventually get me over to sql view.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this & found a solution?

Or does anyone know of a plug-in or the like for a better design view? I'd be happy with the sql view if Access didn't reformat it & crunch the code together.

    Any help or thoughts appreciated.

Although no one here seems to have any suggestions, I may have worked out a solution to this problem. This problem seems to happen almost all the time for me when I go straight to design view after opening a query.

Instead, I first click on sql view. Everything is highlighted, so I click in the text area to remove the highlighting. Then I click on design view. This is now working most of the time for me. If it 'freezes' on me, I repeatedly click on the sql button to get it out of design view. Then I close/reopen query and try again.
