    prompt for orderby in report

so, I've got this report being run. What i the best way for the user to be able to pick the orderby fields without giving them the full version of access? I was thinking maybe a form with some drop downs.....sort first, sort second sort third etc, and just pass those to the report on a button click?

Alternatively I'd really like for the report to just prompt for sort order. (similiar to the way you can make a query from for criteria. )

    Thanks!

The only way to do that without the full version of access is to do exactly what you've said. Give them a form with the fields involved in the report and allow them to sort on the fields you want etc, then use the input to generate your query and report
