    changing a check-box to an option box

    Hi, we are working on an access data base where we had initially set the information in a check box i.e. showing whether the machine had a particular part or not. I now want to change this to an option box - but having problems. Any clear, simple way of achieving this?

    Personally, I think that the check box that you already have is the best control to use in this situation. However, If you really want to change it this is what you need to do.
    Create the new Option Group control on your form. Set the "Option Value" property of which ever option button represents the "True" value of your table data to -1 and the "Option Value" property of the other option button to 0. Set the "Control Source" property of the "Option Group" to whatever is currently the control source of your checkbox control.
