    keep getting duplicates

    I'm trying to set up followup cards for our clients, but can't figure out how to just get the most recent date to show up for each client:

    tblCards
    idxCards, intCustFK, dtmFollowUpDate, chrNote

    I get mostly what I want with:
    SELECT intCustFK, MAX(dtmFollowUpDate) AS FollowUpDate
    FROM tblCards
    GROUP BY intCustFK;

    HOWEVER, I also want to read the note. When I add the note field I get all the records, not just the last followup date for each client.

    Any thoughts?

    That's EXACTLY what I've been pouring through SQL tutorials this weekend trying to do. Thanks.
