Importing XML to Access

I receive daily files in XML. I need to imprt these to access. However, during the import I realized the files that are being imported don't have a date field. Is there a way to import the files and some how have a date filed added during the import into the new data base table?

create a field for the Date (data type: date/time) with the default value be date(), which will fill the the date field with the date of the import.
