    student question


    If you're asked to change a field so that it is always increased by one when a new record is added, how do you do this?

    set it as an autonumber data type.

    you should know that. If you don't know how, study the material that the teacher gave you.

    Or google it. Answers that easy should not be given away. At that point you're not learning anything.

    open the table in design view, select the field you want to increment automatically, and set the data type to Auto Number.
