Default Security in Access 2007(Restricting changes to tables)

I would like to restrict the ability of other users to change the data in tables or queries in access 2007. I am not necessarily nervous about the other users purposely changing the tables or queries, but i would nevertheless like to limit out their ability to change such data. I have attempted to use the back end database but changes in the front end linked database changes the backend database. Any thoughts on my best option?

Thanks
