    Custom User Group queries

I'm new to using User Groups/Permissions in Access, I'm feeling through it to figure out how it works.

Is there to create a query that will show a particular user only his or her entries into a database? The project is a shared application where numerous users will submit requests to an Admin. There will be an option for Users to edit their requests, and I want each user to only be able to see their own requests.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks!

Yes, it is possible. But, you must be using a database of Access2003 or earlier versions.

Check the following example, filtering data for the logged in User:

The database must be implemented with Microsoft Access Security, that works with only Access2003 or earlier version databases. But you can open earlier version (2000, 2002-2003) databases implemented with Security and work normaly in Access2007 too.

Excellent, it worked like a charm, thanks!

Yeah, I'm using 2007 but it is rare that I ever work in the .accdb format. It's .mdb for me, all the way.

    Thanks for the help!
