Hey Everyone,
I am running into a little roadblock in my current events database and was hoping one of the pros here can point me in the right direction . What I would like to do is create an email template in Access that can easily be copied/pasted or exported into the body of an email document. As of right now, once an event is setup in the database, I have a button that pulls a report which has a default email template, including an invitation paragraph and all of the event info below it, that can be email blasted out to all of the employees. However, the only way I can figure out how to email the template is to either have it attached as a file on the email or have the person preview the report, click on the export report to a word doc, then have them open the doc and copy/paste the content into the email. Is there any way to bypass all of this and have all of the content in the report pasted directly into the body of an email with one button? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks! Jason |

Jason,
The short answer is yes. You can put data from access into the "body" of an Office Outlook E-Mail. You can do it in plain text, however I would think that HTML would be the best way to go. Could you post an example (using Word) of what you would like the email body to look like. If it is simple I may have a go at the HTML, as I have some samples and I (or You) may be able to modify them to suit. The samples are not my work and if they have the authors name in them we should acknowledge them.

Hey John,
Sure thing. Attached is a quick example of the template that i am looking to add into the email. The fields in the center of the document are all being pulled from the event form. Also, we are all using Lotus Notes at our office so I hope that won't be a problem. Thanks! Jason |

Jason,
I know nothing about Lotus Notes. I would suggest that you do a Google and search this "lotus notes html email", I did and go a few hits. Sorry I can't help any further.
