Statique,

As this is your first post Welcome (I'm and old hand I have about 14 or 15 posts)

What have you tried to do?

Have you tried to import 1 excel sheet into your database to see how it works?

You could import all the excel worksheets into different tables then append them all the the one table, that way all the data would be in a single table.

Now that you have imported all the data and it is in 1 table what happens to this data when you run the "import" the second time? Does the "old" data get archived (Example: by renaming the table with its import date) or deleted.

These are some of the question you will have to consider.

If you do a search on importing from excel, I'm sure that you will get plenty of hits.

Need more help Post back and someone will assist you.

Hi there,

What you could try to do is to use an ETL tool. There are open source tools available.

Talend Open Studio is an open source ETL tool for data integration and migration experts. It's easy to learn for a non-technical user. What distinguishes Talend, when it comes to business users, is the tMap component. It allows the user to get a graphical and functional view of integration processes.
