Default How to restore Find dialog in Access
Hello,

When I try to find a string in VB script using ctl-f, I do not no longer get any response at all. I have been playing with DoCmd.SetWarnings, setting it true or false. Would this have anyhing to do with not being able to see any response? I reset the warnings to true, but does not help. Would anyone have any idea?

BTW, the find works in Word or other applications.

When you go to Tools>Startup... are all of the boxes checked?

Hmm...does this condition exist for all mdb that you try? Can you bring up the Immediate window with <ctrl>G?

Yes, same condition in all MDBs. I can get to Immediate window with cntl-g.
One other thing. I cannot scroll the VB code up and down with mouse. Weirdly I can scroll up/dow in tables.

did you make an autokey ctrl+f to disable that?

I use ctrl-f to find a string. Regardless what I use (ctrl-f or edit/find), I get the Find dialog box, but nothing happens when I press "Find Next" button.

Is the problem changing? You said the <ctrl>F did not work in your first post.

sorry, I realized I did not explain my problem initially. The problem is I do get the find dialog, but nothing happens when I press the find next button. I.e. the dialog box closes, but does not find the specified string.

Agsin sorry for the confusion.
