Angry How can I get a calculated field to return the number back to the table?

I have a form that has a calculated field in it is not sending the total back to the table. I have put the formula for the field in the Quary and also tried to put the formula in the Control Source of the field in the form. I need the total on the table so I can use it on a report. HELP!!!

Try setting the field with your calculation in the BeforeUpdate event of the form.
