Default "Debug Error!" and crash while editting code or form

When I'm editting Access Visual Basic code or a Form and doing a cut and
paste operation (text, a button or whatever) I sometimes get this error which
terminates Access.

Dialog box title: Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library
Dialog box text: Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE
abnormal program termination
(Press Retry to debug the application)

Is there something I can do to fix this?

I am also having this same problem. It seems that there are others all over
the internet having this problem. I would call this a pretty critical error
that should be addressed by Microsoft, but I have yet to see them post
anything about it, except to post some articles that do not apply at all.

Come on guys! Lucky you have a near monopoly, because if we ran our
businesses this way....

Yeah, I'm having this same problem, too. Has anybody made any progress?

I am also getting this error even though I applied all the updates to Office 2003 and Windows XP. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I do not receive an error when I open my database on Windows 2000.

This solution worked for me. I updated my printer driver and the problem went away.

I had the same problem and I also had issues with opening the code on
forms. I could edit the module code but I could not edit the forms
code. I contacted the MS support team and this is what steps I
followed:

Boot in safe mode and see if the problem reoccurs, It didn't

Try again after a Clean boot
310353 How to Perform a Clean Boot in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=310353
Problem still occured.

Change the default printer to TEXT Generic Only Printer, if there is
not one installed, install one then set the machine to that printer.
Problem did not reoccur

Updated the printer driver on the default Laserjet printer and problem
solved.

My problem started C++ Runtime error and abnormal termination when I
was opening the forms in code view or editing a form variable in
Visual Basic Editor. I never thought about a printer driver being the
problem but it solved it!.
